MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS

Qloo, the New York City-based marketing company using AI, said it acquired TasteDive, which makes cultural and entertainment suggestions to users.

Connatix, the New York City-based video platform, said it acquired the Israeli AI-backed infographic company Kamidoo.

FUNDING

Nuro, the Mountain View, California-based autonomous delivery vehicle maker, said it raised USD 940m from SoftBank’s Saudi Arabia-funded Vision Fund.

May Mobility, the Ann Arbor, Michigan-based autonomous vehicle maker, said it raised USD 22m in a Series A led by Millennium New Horizons and Cyrus Capital Partners. May Mobility is backed by the venture capital arms of global car makers that include BMW and Toyota.

Evisort, the Boston, Massachusetts-based documents management company using AI, said it raised USD 4.5m in a seed funding led by Village Global and Amity Ventures.

US President Donald Trump signed an executive order asking federal government agencies to dedicate more resources to and investment in AI.


PEOPLE

[24]7.ai, the San Jose, California-based company developing AI-based platforms for businesses in the consumer/retail sector, said it hired Australian telecommunications executive Rohan Ganeson as COO.

The company hired Paul J. Loftus as chief revenue office in August last year.

Zeta Global, the New York City-based marketing software company using AI, said it hired Nielson executive Ben Hayes as chief product officer.
